At The Clue Room, participants are never locked into any of our twelve games. In compliance with Centennial City Fire Code, we structure our live escape games to be fun, but never to endanger our guests.
- The Clue Room’s live escape games are designed exclusively by our team – We take time and pride in creating these experiences for you to ensure that your time with us is fun, unique, exciting, and appropriately challenging for the level of difficulty you have selected. We do not buy our games from anyone else, and you won’t find them anywhere else!
- No gimmicks – Our live escape games are built for skill, meaning that they will encourage our participants to get creative with their thinking and problem solving! We do not utilize scare tactics, lock our participants in the room, or ‘trap doors’. We believe this helps to ensure a fun and challenging game experience that allows the entire group to stay involved and work together, and one where nobody in particular will have the upper hand.
- More than just keys – While many of our games do feature the occasional use of keys and padlocks, they are not completely driven by ‘scavenger hunt’ style gameplay. In a Clue Room live escape game, teams will encounter a unique variety of puzzles, riddles, and mysteries that will keep you on your toes and give you the opportunity to think outside the box in order to overcome these challenges!
The Clue Room live escape game is for anyone who loves a challenge and wants to have fun with family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers. The goal is simple: escape from a “locked” room in 60 minutes using only your team’s thinking skills, deductive reasoning, and logic to solve the room’s mysteries, riddles, and puzzles. The room is filled with a series of cryptic clues and locks, so be sure to carefully look over everything in the room. Additional helpful hints will be presented when needed and tools are provided in the room to help keep track of what your group finds.
The Clue Room is great for families and groups of all ages. However for the safety of all our customers, we do have an age policy. On Friday and Saturday evenings (4pm and later), any groups with participants under the age of 18 must book out the entire game room. There are no exceptions to this rule. At any other time, if a group has any players under the age of 18, that group must call in to complete your booking. For any group with children 12 or younger, at least 1 legal adult must be present in the room during the game. Failure to comply with this policy will result in the assessment of a penalty fee and may also require your group to be moved to a different game room or time.
Once paid, the per-person ticket price is non-refundable. If a party would like to reschedule a live escape event, the party may do so as long as the Clue Room is provided with at least 48 hours verbal or written electronic (emailed) notice.
For each room you will be given 60 minutes to escape. We ask that participants arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time so we can provide you with the instructions needed to complete the game safely and to remain on schedule. The total Clue Room experience should last a total of 90 minutes at most, but remember it all depends on how quickly your team can escape!
The recommended minimum number of participants for any Clue Room game is 2. The maximum for a group depends on the game room. Some of our games can only accommodate a maximum of 6 participants while our larger rooms can accommodate up to 10 participants. Please be aware that if you do not book out all the slots for your chosen room, there is a chance you may be grouped with other participants. Additionally, we have 12 different Clue Room game rooms and 2 locations in Centennial allowing us to host groups as large as 90 simultaneously. Larger group sizes can be accommodated through scheduling a private party. Contact us via email: [email protected] or phone (303) 955-1722.
The game is designed to test team working skills, creativity, and “thinking outside the box”. It requires no special skills, outside knowledge, and is not physically challenging.
We recommend participants wear comfortable shoes (open toe shoes are allowed). The game requires a bit of reading, so bring your reading glasses if you need them. Writing utensils will be provided in the game for your group. Also, don’t forget your thinking caps!
We recommend all guests reserve their desired game and time and make payment online. Given the required set-up for each game walk-ins availability is limited. Exceptions may be made if there are available spots. We accept all major credit cards online and walk-in. Cash is only accepted for walk-ins.
Absolutely not. Purchase one or a few, but keep in mind most of our games run between 6-10 participants, so if you purchase fewer than that you’ll be teamed with other people in the same game. Teamwork is crucial for Clue Room games, so it’s always great to have more minds. If you have children 12 years old and younger the whole room must be booked to ensure the safety of the children. Please contact the Clue Room with any further questions.
If you have additional questions, beyond what we provide here, feel free to give us a call at 303-955-1722. If we do not answer either we are with a customers or giving an introduction to a game, but we will call you as soon as we can.
While The Clue Room does take walk-ins, we strongly recommend calling first, as our daily schedule sometimes requires all of our staff to be at one location or the other. Check our ‘Book Now’ tab for availability and please arrive 15 minutes before the desired time.
